Julia was absolutely the cutest bride and witnessing the sweet, compassionate love she and Ben share made the day so delightful and special. The bright purple color they chose and the happy and emotional vibes were so reflective of their fun and kind personalities. They met in college at UW-Eau Claire and Ben is now a FOCUS missionary, with Julia serving along side him, being a witness to college students in Illinois.
They got an unexpectedly and unseasonably warm 90 degree October day with a lot of wind. We all rolled with it to capture some portraits outside the beautiful St. Raymond’s church! The maid-of-honor was Julia’s sister, who was unable to attend because she is with the Carmelites in St. Louis. We loved that they still included her in the day streaming the ceremony and taking lots of video. She still prepared an audio message of her toast ahead of time which left no dry eyes in the room.
Details we loved:
Ben and Julia’s day was a labor of love with everyone pitching in the pull all the details of the day together. There were so many special touches that made the day so personal to them: Chick-fil-A breakfast, a family necklace, a Carmelite rosary from Julia’s sister, and family and friends taking care of being the florist and DJ. All of these things are really what makes a wedding day unique and special!
